About Aus Assist Export & Education Pty Ltd

Steve Taylor spent 5 years on Bougainville between 1971 & 1976 training local people in the hospitality industry. He had the first fully qualified chef in P.N.G. & trained many in Hotel Management. In 1989 Bougainville sought independence from P.N.G. resulting in a 12-year war. A peace agreement was negotiated in 2001 with Bougainville now being known as the Autonomous Region of Bougainville (A.R.O.B.)

Since 1989 there has been no direct shipping between Australia & Bougainville resulting in essential items passing through many hands and being very costly. AAEE have arranged for AROB clients to buy their groceries direct from Metcash, Australia’s largest grocery wholesalers & thus cutting out all the “middle men”. Many of our business clients would like to have their children to have a greater level of education. Namely, they would like them educated in Australia.
